Dissipative analysis of linear coupled differential-difference systems with distributed delays

This paper presents a new dissipative analysis method for linear coupled differential-difference systems (CDDS) with general distributed delays in both state and output equation. More precisely, the distributed delay terms under consideration can contain any L2 functions which are approximated via a broader class of functions in comparison with an existing approach which is based on the approximation via Legendre polynomials. By using this broader class of functions, we propose Krasovskii functionals with more general structures as compared to the existing approach based on polynomials, and also a generalized integral inequality. Based on our generalized approximation technique with the proposed integral inequality, sufficient conditions for the stability of CDDS with dissipativity properties are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Several numerical examples are presented to show the effectiveness of our proposed methodologies.
